By Ferry

All ferry journeys to Islay should be booked via Caledonian MacBrayne. Ferries must be booked in advance, especially during peak times. With multiple sailings per day from Kennacraig or weekly sailings from Oban. Download the CalMac Status app for sailing updates and any cancellations.

By Car

Once your ferry docks, you will find yourself at either Port Askaig or Port Ellen. Road signs will direct you towards Bowmore, where we are situated on Shore Street. Public on-street parking is available nearby the property.

By plane

Daily flights from Glasgow can be booked through Logan Air with regular public transport links to and from Bowmore.

Taxis

There are a number of independent taxi services on Islay. Please contact us should you require a taxi during your stay.

by Bus

Regular bus services operate from Glasgow to Kennacraig with at least one journey per day aligning with ferry departures. This journey should be booked through Citylink. We recommend booking your ticket in advance, however payment to the driver can be made on the day.
